This was my first time at the Gold Club after having visited both MBOT and Crazy Horse on other occasions. Gold Club is certainly not as lewd, seedy, what-have-you as the other SF clubs I have been to. Nonetheless, I would not return.

We went as part of a bachelor party. The planner had called ahead and made reservations at Gold Club. When we arrived, however, we found out that reservations were good for nothing. We paid the cover as normal, and there were no tables available. Kind of makes you wonder what reservations are for.

The club itself is nice enough, kind of a low-rent Vegas club feel. There is an upstairs 'VIP' area that overlooks the main floor. For some reason, the patrons up top thought it was a great idea to wad up dollar bills into little balls and hurl them at dancers, often hitting them in the head. I just don't get this. This is perhaps the most degrading thing I have ever seen in a club. I am fine with sleazy, but this bugged me.
