New place in town, opened Sep. 15 (taking over a long closed neighborhood bar). On Hazel St., off Cedar just south of I-496, in a tiny garish blue building. The front (south side) is blocked off with a wooden privacy fence for a smoking area. Enter on the west side. Cover is $5 after 7 p.m., I got there late afternoon on a Tuesday. Drinks are $2, with a two-drink minimum.
Small inside, maybe about as big as a large mobile home. It has one long bar along the east wall, with a a short "L" wrapping around the south end. Three large flat-panel screens showing various sports events line the wall behind the bar. The dancer stage is behind the bar's "L", about 4' square with a pole in the middle and a large mirror on the wall behind it. The bar seats about 15, and tables seat about 20 more in all. As I said, a small place. Unlike the Tini Bikinis in Grand Rapids, this one has no food other than bar snacks (Chex mix) -- no wonder, it has no room for a kitchen. I sat down at the "L" by the stage.
I saw about a dozen customers there, and three girls working the place -- a bar maid, a waitress, and a dancer. The bar maid & waitress wore cutoff shorts and sleeveless T-shirts, nothing better than you would see at a Hooters.
