My background: Up until one year ago I led a very clean life and didn't step foot into any kind of gentlemen's club until I was in my early 30s. I rarely drank and never smoked. Recently, however, I have snapped. I've totally lost my mind. I've been traveling all over the Chicagoland area looking for the best strip club experiences. I think I've visited 90% of the advertised joints around 6- to 8 times per month over the past several months. Also, to put this in perspective I've visited clubs in California, Las Vegas, New Orleans, a few remote spots in Illinois, a few places near Hammond, Indiana, and a dozen places in Europe.

Why am I doing this now? 1) I've come into some money, so I have more cash for entertainment. I've no problem staying a long time and dropping up to $500 in a place if I'm in the right mood, rare, and have enough time although I'll typically drop $100 on drinks, dances, and smiles and then get the heck home before I get drunk, 2) I've realized that going to these clubs actually has positive health benefits. Seeing beautiful women up this close makes me feel like a man, gets my visceral juices flowing in continuously different ways, 3) Not sure why but I think this helps me gain confidence in my daily life, 4) I actually feel quite generous and enjoy helping the girls out and giving them a nice surprise tip every now and then, 5) I don't like drinking with guys, 6) occasionally it seems that I really connect with someone at one of these clubs and that is exciting to also see their excitement. It's rare but when it happens it is such a great feeling. There's always a smidgen more there than the entertainment and financial transaction--just a smidgen, but I'll take it. I am in very good physical shape and so sometimes that helps the girls help me have more fun, and, perhaps most importantly, 7) Recently I've had the luxury of a rather flexible work schedule so I can get to these places often, even travel, without worrying so much about a white collar 9-to-5 or blue collar 7-to-3 schedule--I've had both before.
