This place used to be the Star Club - if you are thinking it is anything like it used to be, think again. The inside has been completely redone, it is clean and comfortable now. This is a small club, and that is a good thing. For anyone who has ever been in a small club, this place has everything you want. A friendly bartender, girls that don't act like hustlers, a laid back staff, good music, and good drink prices (i'm pretty sure they run a drink special every day, something I have never seen in any Charlotte club). The main floor area has a bunch of comfortable chairs and they all give you a good view of a small stage. Everything is close, so you are always on top of any action. Dance prices are typical for the Charlotte area, but there is a huge difference in this club - because of the smallness and atmosphere in this club, i never felt a hustle at all. I had actual conversations with basically every girl who worked that night and it was not fake or forced. Just to give you an idea of the no hustle feeling - I found out they don't even serve champagne. That says it all. The dances themselves are good, typical again for Charlotte. One of the best things about this place is the VIP area - it's quiet and the VIP seats are high backed and comfortable with privacy. You can actually get a nice VIP dance here without being right on top of other people or having a bouncer standing next to you. They can get away with this I'm sure because the club is so small that you would have to be an idiot to be a jerk in VIP. I have been there a couple times - but this club really gets busier and picks up the later it is. I actually find this to be pretty cool - if you want to come in and relax before the crowd comes , you can do that. Basically I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a quieter, more relaxed club to go to. If you like to talk to dancers before you get your dances, this is your place. Will go again.
