It has been years since I have visited the infamous club on Route 1 in Peabody, MA. Back in the 70s I remeber seeing Chesty Morgan preform. Today it is a high end strip club and admission is steep, but drinks are reasonable for a club, $5.00 for a diet soda and $6.50 for a mixed drink. The place is comfortable and very busy, girls everywhere. Chair dances are $10.00 and in the backroom a blonde informed me was $20.00, although tips are appreciated. A nice mix of dancers, who for the most part were polite and entertaining, a couple of the girls were pushy, but that is like any other club. There were a few bouncers around, they wore blazers and looked like they could handle themselves, but unlike other MA clubs seemed to stay in the background. The crowd was loud, but polite and there were no signs of trouble anywhere. Plenty of parking around the club and easy to get to, right off of Route 1.

Ironically they are being sued by a music company over name infringement, there is an article in teh Boston Herald today. A bartender was talking to a regular about it when I was at the bar on Tuesday.

The place is worth a visit and the best in the Boston area.
