I was at Scarlet’s at Ybor...

I was at Scarlet’s at Ybor Strip on Thursday October 27th. Scarlet’s is a juice bar so I had a $5 water to go with my $10 cover. Scarlet’s is totally nude club with totally nude two way contact couch dances that are done in a private booth with a semi transparent curtain. I got many good lap dances but nothing more. Scarlet’s is right up there with the Penthouse club and Subi’s place in Detroit for a lap dance area, for me just not the same mileage.

Scarlet’s is a medium size club that is pretty well lit. There is a large main stage in the center of the club with small tables at the front and back of the club. There is a smallish bar but they don’t serve alcohol and a couple of booths you can rent. There are four areas with booths for lap dances with one area having a couple of larger booths with hand rails for handicap accessibility or dancer leverage one of those two. There are also three VIP booths with large couches, a heavy curtain and one had a TV. I was quoted $50 plus at least $200 to the dancer for a half hour by the bouncer. No dancer mentioned the VIP room to me and I did ask any dancers to go back. Smoking is allowed in the club but it did not bother a non smoker like me.

Scarlet’s appears to be in a residential area a mile or so from dance club and bar area called Ybor City in Tampa about six miles from the airport hotels. I did drive over a set of railroad tracks but did not appear to be in the wrong side of town. Parking was free in the lot and there was a security guy in the parking lot when I left.
