Recent Tampa vacation: This review will focus mainly on the 2 different time visits on Friday(late afternoon, return for night visit). Good visits, but I was aware of certain caveats before hand.

CLUB ORIENTATION/COSTS: I had free pass from prior visit- free cover, but admitance requires a prepaid $6 non-alcoholic drink purchase. One can get a handstamp for no-cover later return, or to exit and re-enter for smokers. (Club is non-smoking). Having a nearby hotel key can get you $5 off cover charge, a sporting event ticket results in discounted entry also. In the foyer prior to door attendant are "Nightmoves" magazines which have free/discounted passes for area clubs, including 2001. Alas, the discounted passes to 2001 were torn out beforehand by club mgt. Once inside, a cozy club with adequate stageside seating. Speakers are located on far left side and mid-right side of stage, where loudest noise is- prefer to sit mid left or far back stage. There's a bench seat in back of room near a mini-cage stage that is occasionally used. Speakers in far back corner is another noisy area to avoid. ATM machine located outside rest room right side of club. Didn't try, as I was adequately prepared by one of several regular bank ATM's within 2 blocks of Westshore Mall.

AFTERNOON/EARLY EVENING VISIT: Met a fellow Tuscler and 2001 live website member. We exchanged some 411 on our visits, he introduced me to a cute, girl next door type blonde. I wasn't able to get her later, but got a Fillipina who initially greeted me for a 3 for 60 special. Later on, got a hot Dominican for some more dances. 3 for 60 is common, with a $5 charge paid to bouncer.Mileage in back cubicles was solid 2 way short of home plate. Expect to be approached for dances by many dancers here. There's apparently an internal, "3 song and out" rule here. One prior evening cockblocker sat with me for 3 songs before bailing, even after I'd indicated that I wouldn't be getting dances right away. I guess there were 7-8 dancers at 5pmish arrival, diverse bunch, 1 black, 1-2 Fillipina/Asian, 2 Latina, rest Cauc. I split by 7 for a dinner break.
