Cab II has long been one...

Cab II has long been one of my favorite clubs in Portland, mostly due to the privacy of the dances in the corner chairs on the upper level. Unfortunately they have now installed really bright spotlights right above each of these corners so everyone in the club can now see your private dance in full view. These lights are brighter than the stage lights. Either they are trying to reduce the mileage during private dances, or they're trying to steer customers to the 2-for-$60 VIP rooms where the lighting is low and there are beaded curtains to reduce the view. Or maybe the owners are under new pressure after the downtown Cabaret got shut down by the city. Whatever the reason, I really miss those dark corners...
