Was in last Wednesday...

Was in last Wednesday around 11 PM. When walking in, there were about 20 people standing around outside, 50/50 guys & girls(non-dancers). Once inside, there were many more female patrons than normal. Bar area pretty full, as was the main stage room. DJ then advertised that it was "Talent Show Night". Two musical groups were to perform there that night. Unfortunately for the dancers, most of the people there that night were there to see the groups, and were not getting massages or dances.

The "musical groups" turned out to be a couple of rap groups. Their style of music was completely out of place for this club. The music unto itself would have been fine, but the lyrics were completely unintelligible and far too loud. I can't think that anyone would have enjoyed getting a dance to those songs. After the first set, I talked with a few of the dancers and didn't find a single one that wasn't completely pissed off about the "talent show". After the 2nd act, the club cleared out pretty fast, and I then saw a number of the dancers leave early.

I get it that the club is trying to do something to draw people in. But I see this one as a complete fail. This was the first time for this promotion, and I can only hope it is the last. If not, at least have some music for which it would be enjoyable to get a dance.
