If you are thinking of giving HiLiters a chance, do yourself a favor and just go already. Tuesday night was perfect, not too busy, not too slow with plenty of dancers. Bouncers show you to your table, and it's a good idea to tip them and other staff well...I think that's a big reason I had such a good time. I have a lot of club experience outside of the valley area and to me, this is so far one of the best U.S. clubs I've been to outside of Vegas. Why? The dancers were friendly, upbeat, and approachable, and understand "maybe later baby" just fine, and had no problem helping me find my type without cattiness. Plenty of bang for the buck, the $10 table dances are as good as VIP dances most places I've been. The dancers seemed more down to earth overall than at Bourbon street, a bit less aloofness and silicone and more down to earth, but still gorgeous. At Bourbon street on a weekday afternoon the waitress kept harassing me to buy at least 2 mixed drinks an hour or the manager wanted me to leave...after I had already ordered three. Not a problem at HiLiters, one $5.25 beer every 45 minutes was fine, and I could watch the ball game in peace. DJ was not obnoxious at all, and didn't look like he was giving the dancers crap like some DJ's do.

The down sides to HiLiters: small building, and a little cramped with lots of little tables and chairs. A bouncer in black and white meets you at the door and seats you, but I prefer to scope out a club and pick my own seat. They have more bouncers per square foot than anywhere I've ever been. They have a regular, small bathroom with two cramped urinals and a stall, and even there they have a guy with a tip jar, sitting under the towel dispenser handing out paper towels. I expect that in Vegas...but there I would also expect terry cloth towels. In this tiny, average club building it felt odd.
