I was in town so I decided to give Sam's a shot. While its not in a dangerous area of LA, it can give off a shady vibe at night. I don't think its anything to be too concerned about but just a beware. When I arrived there was a security check but after that I went in and it was packed wall to wall. It took me some time to find a seat, most of the tables were already filled with patrons. Since this is also a restaurant you can order food but it also means that the dancers don't get fully nude.
There were about 4-5 dancers on stage at any given time, a handful walking around enticing patrons to dances, some giving dances and then some talking with patrons at the bar. Its definitely a livelier atmosphere, very much like a bar, so if you want personal alone quiet time it may not be the best spot for you. I was looking to watch some girls dance and relax with some food so it was fine for me.
The quality of talent was very strong. Many attractive girls and plenty to choose from. Dances are $10, and despite being bikini dances (no nude) I still think its a good deal if you are just looking for some dances. The dance area is pretty open so if you do get a dance you're pretty much in the open, so its just something to be aware of. I got a couple dances from two separate girls, the names escape me but one of them was an Asian girl who had just started. Both girls were gave pretty good dances so it was definitely worth $10/song.
