On a very recent trip to...

On a very recent trip to Michigan, I visited five clubs. Landing Strip was one of them. I had seen reviews that seemed to suggest that this club was on a comeback. Since I was a patron way back in its glory days, I just had to see what was up currently. Unfortunately, I can't corroborate the up-beat reviews. It was a Wednesday evening around 10:30 or 11:00, a rainy night. I parked across the street just as I had done years ago. The last time I visited this club was about three or four years ago. It was pretty bad then. So I walked up the stairs full of hopeful expectation. After I paid the $10 admission, I walked through the door and beheld... a little remodeling had been done but the configuration was essentially the same, and it was pretty empty. Two girls were on stage. I passed by them after a brief trip to the john. One of them smiled invitingly. I ordered a beer at the bar, and saw that there were maybe three or four guys sitting there. No one in the booths. Maybe about the same number of girls, although there may have been more in the back or up or down stairs. The girl who smiled at me on stage came down to join me after she was finished. On closer inspection, she was not that appealing to me. I begged off and left soon after, having spent about 20 minutes there. I actually met a cute little spinner named N__a, who works at Players, who told me that she also works at Landing Strip. If so, she would be one reason to go back. Other than that, I really can't say much good about the club. It may be better than I experienced it, but I can only report what I saw.
