Topper's was the first and now...

Topper's was the first and now is the only strip club in downtown Athens. It's located in the basement of a large building and is primarily a late night club The crowd, if any, will show up 10 or 11 PM and go to 2 PM. On football gamedays, it's pretty much packed. A long bar stretches about half the length of the room, and tv screens showing sports abound. There are four pool tables in the back. The dancers perform on a long stage with three poles. Usually one girl dances at a time unless it's a busy night and a lot of girls show up in which case they double up. The number of girls varies with the day of the week with the weekend having the most. All of them are friendly, and they vary in stature, attractiveness, intelligence, and dancing ability. Some are students at the local university, technical college, or one of the cosmetology schools. Topless table dances are $10 with minimal contact. Topless lap dances are contact and done on couches in the VIP area at $30 per song plus a $10 per hour VIP room usage fee. There are also four private champagne rooms, where the price is negotiated with the dancer, but I have never used them. Video surveillance cameras monitor all activity.
