This place seems to be really hit-or-miss in almost every regard. Girls could be really hot or really chubbo, your dance could be incredibly dirty or an air dance. Not that I've been here all that much, but I haven't quite figured out the formula for the place yet. The club itself is kind of seedy-looking on the inside, like the interior of some double-wide trailer home from the 70s. Admission costs $10 (but you get a lifetime membership card), and then you're required to get two $5 drinks once the waitress notices you don't have a wristband yet (if it's busy enough, you could possibly avoid this by getting dances - I've come close before).

Last time I went, I apparently hit it during a "lots of hot chicks" night. There were multiple girls I would have gotten dances with (as opposed to the usual one or two). Even luckier, the girl I did get a dance with was already slightly drunk and I basically got a two-way topless lap dance, which is almost unheard of in San Diego.

One odd thing about the Body Shop is that although dances are billed as $20/song, the dancers will usually have some sort of sliding scale for their dances, typically billing a $40/song dance as two-way contact (I have yet to be disappointed on that end). One girl even spelled it out as $20 for an air dance, $30 for one-way, and $40 for two-way; I got the one-way and she kept asking while dancing if I didn't want to touch her. Dance rooms aren't completely private, but they come pretty close. I don't think I've ever been checked in on while I've been in there. Girls are monitored for how long they dance for by a guy standing at a podium in one corner of the room. The girls stand outside the dance cubicle until your song starts, and then join you. After you're all done with however many dances you want, the girl goes and pays the guy at the podium, most likely based on how long she was in the cubicle with you. So, that's where the higher dance rates come in - as far as the club is concerned, the girl is only making $20/song, so anything above that is total gravy for the dancer.
