You'd think by now I'd have learned my lesson about going to clubs on holiday weekends. Nope.

Tried Silk over Labor Day weekend for the first time in a long time after a negative experience there in the spring. Long story short ... not impressed.

The club itself, as always, is just fine. Small upgrades through the years have included new carpeting, a customized bar and flat screens, so yeah, it's nice enough. Other reviews will give you most of the basics -- lots of comfy chairs and tables, plenty of space, a V-shaped stage with two poles up front and one satellite stage ("Silk Side #1" and "Silk Side #2") on each side. There are two bars, one in the way back and one near the front entrance which is long and has tall chairs. That bar is the place to be if you want women to find you, but you will also be subject to the tip walk there.
