I stopped into Blush last Friday...
I stopped into Blush last Friday after happy hour downtown. This was my first trip to the downtown club and after paying my $10 cover charge (Received a coupon for free cover if I go back before the end of the month) my initial impressions were that the club was small and awkwardly set up. The stage is right in front of you when you enter (Always with one but more likely two dancers on stage for 3 songs each), the bar is then right in the middle of the room leaving not very much room between the stage and bar. Beer prices were moderate but the mixed drinks were a little pricey for what they were ($6 for a small plastic cup of watered down liquor and 90% ice).
All complaints stopped when I focused on the girls, they had a type for everyone, black, white, blonde, brunette, red head, big, small, tall, short... Whatever you wanted they had. I am a pretty shy guy, and I didn't feel pressured by the dancers at all. They are very good at their jobs and know if you want to BS with them all night long or would rather just enjoy the show and grab a dance later.
I sat at the stage for a while and the girls all looked great, like normal some were better dancers than others but they all worked it. I saw a girl I liked and was able to get a private dance ($25 a song, private curtained booth with an oversized comfortable chair). The dance was great, as soon as the song started the clothes came off, no slow playing it here. No touching is thrown out the window as she said as long as it wasn't a hole it was fair game. Again, being shy I was slow to start until she grabbed my hands and were putting them all over her body, two songs went by in a blur.
