Been a while since I've reviewed...

Been a while since I've reviewed the local Lawrence clubs so thought I would share my experiences over the past week at each of them. Just visited the Outhouse tonight for the first time in over a year. Never really been a huge fan of this place. It either tends to be crazy busy or dead. Also, while the dancers are, on average, pretty hot, there always seem to be a couple of pushy ones who aren't. Well, I bit the bullet tonight to check it out and was, overall, pleasantly surprised. YMMV. Grabbed the remnants of a Miller High Life 12 pack and headed out to the club just before 8. Almost no cars in the lot but figured I'd still check it out. $15 to get in and the door guy seemed pretty laid back. Noticed there were only 2 other guys in the place and, at first, only noticed 2 dancers. Settled in, popped open a beer and lit up a smoke (yes, you can still smoke here.) No one on stage so not much entertainment value. After a few minutes, a tall, pretty attractive dancer appeared and settled in next to me. Said her name was Silas. Not a drinker but seemed happy to chain smoke with me and just chill and talk for the better part of an hour. Nice enough girl and capable of having an intelligent conversation. Finally asked me if I wanted a dance and I agreed. Settled on my lap for most of the previous song which was nice. The dances were quite enjoyable though nothing over the edge. Very nice slow grind. She let me know that the 2nd one was free as it was still during the 2-for-1 special. I ended up just tipping her the extra $20 as I had enjoyed her company and her dances. Never pressed me for any more dances and hung out with me until a few more people arrived and they called her on stage.

Overall, Sunday night is probably not the best time to show up here. From past experience, things don't really heat up until after 11 or so but I'm not really into crowds so I didn't mind. Of the remaining dancers I saw, probably half were ones I'd consider getting a dance from and the others weren't. No one awful and no real pushy, nasty ones which I've experienced here in the past. Was actually kind of surprised I didn't recognize any of the girls from other clubs but, again, it was a pretty slow night. Not sure how soon I'll head back here but, overall, it was a good experience. Most of that was just stumbling onto the right dancer at the right time.
