I made a negative comment a couple of weeks ago regarding the quality of SCs in the Jacksonville area. After posting the comment I realized how many years it had been since I visited a club in town. I stopped by Sinsations on Saturday evening just to check it out. I arrive about 7:45.

There is ample parking in from and behind the club From the outside the club looks like it needs a minor facelift. You enter through a set of heavy doors under the red canopy. Like the outside, the entryway needs some help. It is not dirty - it just looks old and wore out. I was afraid of what I would see in side. I paid my $10 cover to the buxomous greeter, held my breath and walked around the corner to the main area.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the main dance area. It was in not what I expected based on the exterior and entryway. It looked clean and well maintained. It was relatively bright and did not take long for my eyes to adjust. The music was typical SC fair, but the volume was several levels lower than most other clubs.
