Finished work early, providing me an opportunity to hit one of the local SC. Normally I would head to Flight Club, but I've been reading the reviews for the Landing Strip and wanted to try out the place again -- I wasn't disappointed and will be coming back (been 5yrs since I was last at LS; at that time it had really gone down hill, glad to see the change in appearance and dancers). Place now has more of a sports bar feel with flat screen LCD TVs surrounding the walls. DJ is now at far end of the stage, across the room from the bar. VIP area is downstairs with private booths similar to FC--just much fewer. Above the bar is a "cigar bar" providing a location inside for people to smoke, good way for getting around the MI smoking ban. Primary layout remains: long center stage, with 3 poles. Tables alongside the stage and booths behind the tables. I'd say it's about half the size of FC, but that's part of the charm.

This night was very slow, I counted at least a dozen dancers, with about half as many customers. Waitress service was a bit slow too, but was easy to flag down. Now to the ladies. The girls very much had a "girl next door" look and were very friendly without any real hustle. Granted these GND could be from a variety of neighborhoods, but all were in the 7-9 range, many could push it to 10 if they "glammed it up" like FC with gowns and extra make-up. Most kept it a bit more subdued and focused on being friendly. Also noticed LS had a more diverse dancer line up with the typical blondes and brunettes, but also a variety of latino, black and asian dancers. So there is definitely something for everyone.

Anyway, I found my dancer after watching 3-4 on stage. After she sat down, I got the skinny on the renovations and new owners coming in a about a year and half ago. After a short while of small take and getting to know each other we headed downstairs to the VIP area. Very private booths consisting of an oversized chair (small couch) with a curtain that closes. The only downside is it makes things very dark, with the only light being a chandelier in the aisle outside the booths. The upside to the privacy is the girls are much more hands on and you quickly realize you can see quite a bit with your hands--and so can she. The dancer I had was very sensual, so I didn't push for extras (beyond the HJ she was giving me by the 2nd or 3rd song). Based on my conversation with her and a few other dancers, other extras seemed to be available, but YMMV.
