Stars - Salem has the look...

Stars - Salem has the look of a decent place from the outside. Abutting the interstate, it is well kept outside with a vestibule leading in. As others have said, you enter facing the bar with a main stage/pole to the right. Behind this stage are two more stage/poles. I was overall impressed with the cleanliness of it. I was offered free prime rib with my cover charge ($5) receipt, but did not partake. I was in on a Monday evening. Decent crowd - more spectators than dancers. Overall clean place with normal prices on drinks ($4.50 micros) w/ a decent selection.

Dancers were mostly attractive (6-8 overall) with above average pole-skills for Oregon. I was definitely not a regular, but was not ignored at all seated off-rack.

Dancers - the dancers here exhibited good polework compared to others I've seen. Overall fewer tats, enhancements and piercings than most Oregon clubs I've seen. I was pleased with dances, and the dancers definitely made an effort to speak to folks outside the rail. From my observation, if you sit at the rail and tip more than a buck per dance, you will end up with a dancer in your lap for at least a short time. Private dances were a bit pricey at $40 for a single song nude - a far better deal is 1/2 hour for $150 - this is only mentioned by some dancers, so if you are interested, it's good to know about it in advance. In terms of private dances, some dancers were more hard-sell than others. In terms of private dances, I think this is a YMMY place. I got three and mine were decent - more two-way than I expected from the other reviews. I think if you tip well at the rail, and respect the dancers, you will get a more two-way than you might think from most of the other reviews, however the private area is definitely less private than some of the Portland clubs.
