Sonny's is way out of the way for me, but I had a meeting in Gilbert that ended at lunchtime,so I decided to check it out. I was greeted at the entrance by two bouncers who wanted to check my ID which was strange (I'm plenty old enough), then wanded me from head to toe with a metal detector, and then inspected my phone, and this was at like fuckin noon! After the search, I finally went inside and sat down away from the stage. I was scoping out the floor, and saw only a few dancers wandering around, and none that looked interesting. An older Asian came up and sat with me, I told her I was new to the club so she gave me the rundown on dance prices, and made a point several times of telling me how private the 4/$100 private rooms were, and that nobody would bother us in there. I bought a dance from her in appreciation of the intel, but sent her on her way. Neither the stage or floor were looking promising after a half hour, but finally I saw a very curvy bleached blonde over at the bar that I wanted to get a better look at. I was looking at my phone when I realized she had walked up to sit by me. I looked up at a nice body, but OMG this woman had to be 50 years old! She was friendly, and I decided to get a couple of dances, which were OK as long as I didn't look at her face. She had to go on stage, which was my cue to hit the door and drive across the valley to find my favorites at the HiLiter. Sonny's was a daytime experiment I will not repeat. However, with better evening talent, I'm guessing those 4/$100 rooms could be serious fun.
