Last Saturday drove from KCMO to check out some Lawrence clubs, see some nude dancing again. Stopped first at the Paradise then checked out the Flamingo in North Lawrence [see my review].

The club looks like a typical small roadhouse in the middle of a gravel parking lot. It’s a membership club requiring photo id and name/address info plus a $15/year fee. I had a prior membership that lapsed nearly two years ago, so I reapplied on their site. Nevertheless, I wasn’t on the active member list at the door but after checking the files in the club office the doorman surprised me by saying they had retained my lapsed membership info and that all I needed to do was update my application info and pay the fee after showing my picture id.

Good news is that if you go through the screening process once all you need to do is update your info and pay the yearly fee. The bad news is that they keep lapsed members’ identifying info; don’t know whether it’s just on paper or in a computer database.
