The Original Maid is probably my favorite. It's downtown location makes it a good choice for the business traveller or downtown office worker. I tend to stop by on a semi-regular basis. Usually after work. There is no cover charge in the early evenings, but it will cost $8 to enter after 7:00. There are new dancers every half hour or so during the day…and faster turnaround at night.

The club itself is medium sized with and has a rectangular stage (with a couple of poles) in the center. The club is clean enough, but it isn't top-class, and is somewhat dingier than the Speak. At night there are several poles in the club’s perimeter for non-nude go-go dancers. These girls range in quality from true knock outs to very amature. Overall, it is quite comfortable, but the men's room could use a reno.

Service is very good. The waitresses are attractive and attentive. Beer prices are in line with other lounges in downtown calgary, generally ranging from $4-8. Food is very reasonably priced, but only of average quality.
