In one sentence, "Booby Trap" (BT) Doral has attractive decors but plain-looking and out of shape dancers. I wish it was reversed. While the club is right off the Palmetto, you have to take a few turns to get there so I would map it out before driving to the club. There is nothing around the club for blocks; it apparently is zoned for industrial use and is vacant. The parking lot is well-protected with a guard and it costs $3 to self-park (cheap). When I arrived at 9:30 on a Saturday night, the cover was $10 (again cheap) and drinks were typically priced. The foyer area to the club was upscale with two huge aquariums enclosing brightly colored tropical fish. The main dance area of the club was 30-40 feet high but had no second level. Everything in the club was new or newly renovated, from the strobe lights to the wide screen tvs (three large screens, about 5 smaller screens, showing UFC when I was there-not my choice but so be it) to the pulsating lighted screen with dancing figures along the top of one wall. A purple fluorescent light, seemingly a continuation of the lights from outside, wound its way around the interior as well. There are red and green lighted exit signs and the furniture is tasteful. The place has a comfortable spacious feeling to it. However, the music was almost all rap music which was annoying after a while. There were two bars, one circled around a pole. Three other poles adorned the main stage area. At about 11:00, all four poles became occupied but until then, just one or two. There were about 18 dancers and 45 customers when I arrived. Surprisingly, at least 10 of the customers were women, and attractive women, too, which I could not understand, perhaps more attractive than all but the best dancers. There was 1 white dancer, a few black dancers, and the rest Latina (which given the location of the club is logical). All but a few were not in good shape, and could definitely use some work on the treadmill. However, there were two to three dancers who were 7-7.5s, and the rest 6 or lower. Probably no 8s. As with many of these clubs, the dancers put you in an uncomfortable position of tipping them after their dances; they parade around with their hand out to every customer there. Table top dances are $20 and dances in the semi-private lap dance area are $25. The vip room is $50 to the club, I was told, and you pay the girl from there. The security was generally non-intrusive and I would not classify the waitresses as hot. In all, because of the poor dancer quality and low number compared to other mega-clubs, I would not return. These dancers have to hit the gym and lay off the glazed donuts before I return.
