Subi's was one of my favorite...

Subi's was one of my favorite clubs in the Detroit area for a long time. There was a long time employee (dancer)there on day shift that could rock anyone's world. Alas, she retired and moved away. One of our TUSCL people PM'd me and asked me about another club that Subi was rumored to have bought, so I returned to do some research. There is Valet Service, but I've always parked on the side street to the East, both night and day with no problems. Southgate is a fairly quiet middle class suburb. There has been some change on the interior, there are 2 VIP areas, one in the front, and the one in back. I didn't visit the back area, but it has been walled in and from one of the prior reports it sounds very private now. My favorite dayshift bartender wasn't working, but the manager on duty quickly got me the monthly beer special they feature each month, this month's special was Corona for $5. Talking with him, he confirmed that Subi bought Trumps on West 8 Mile Road in Detroit and is in the process of updating it. Good news, Trumps had deteriorated over the years.

Sitting at the bar, I watched the 4 dancers on duty on stage. All but one were titless wonders. The only decent one was a cute young black chick. None ever came over during the hour I was there until finally just before I left in disgust, the black babe strolled up to me and worked her charms on me. We went to the front VIP area a long row of semi-private booths and I got a few dances from her with some mild stick-shifting. At the end of the second dance, I called it quits and she said to get more attention I'd have to stop in and get to know her better. I've heard that one before. Will I return, not too likely unless I'm in the area. Subi has done well, but the current day shift group of dancers isn't worth it in my estimation.
