It turned out the day of...

It turned out the day of my visit there was a club-sponsored golf outing, which had just wrapped up. When I came in the door I received a free wrist band, even though I hadn't played in the outing. Only problem - very few girls working, none that caught my interest at all. A lot of guys wearing golf hats, sitting around looking bored. Who knows, maybe a lot of the girls were still "caddying". Maybe a lot of the regulars didn't want to be around a bunch of sweaty golfers who were already drunk...

I have to say that at least the place smells better - they must be enforcing the smoking ban now. Before it was very weak. On the same day I visited sister club Henry VIII, and there were four dancers sitting in lawn chairs by the back door smoking... only two inside, lol. Like vampires in the sunshine.

Bogarts is a dive, but usually an upbeat, high energy dive with a lot of perky dancers. Not today. Definitely a disappointment.
