I am new to Dallas, and...

I am new to Dallas, and just transferred for a new job, so some of the guys took me to the Lodge as a welcome party. I have to say the that Lodge is a pretty nice place, and the dancers are above average from what I'm used to (coming from a small town in southern Illinois). The place has an upscale yet manly feel to it, and it was crowded as hell when we went around 11pm or so. One of the guys from work brought his girlfriend, and she was very difficult - didnt like the table we were escorted to on a small raised platform near the back of the club, and didnt like that it was crowded. She was a total jerk to the waitress, so the manager came over and found us a better place. That impressed me - we were given great service before we ever spent a dime.

There were several groups of young frat boys (or whatever) in there making a little bit of a scene - nothing too bad at all, just stupid kids - and a few gangs of businessmen hanging together. I think that's why our small group with a woman got so much attention. A few of the dancers seemed all business (no problem with that - that's their job right?) but several beautiful women sat with me and my two work colleagues when they were tired. We tried to pay them for their time, but they wouldnt take our cash! They said we were 'fun and cool' and to save our cash for a dance later. I figured this was just a sales ploy to milk us for more cash later, but it wasnt. We paid regular for the dances later that night with a modest tip, and the girls pretty much stayed with us til we left. No, I'm not one of the guys who thinks the dancer really likes me, but they certainly chose to sit with us 10 to 1 over the other crowds I mentioned, so I at least know my group was the lesser of two evils!

The girls were very nice, but professional at first, then they started loosening up as the night went on. One girl in particular stopped pretending to be a drunk ditz and actually had a real conversation with me about being new to Dallas. All in all, I had a great time, but I'm not sure everyone will have this experience based on what I saw. I think having a young and attractive chick in our group made the dancers feel much more comfortable around us. I'll go again in a couple of weeks alone or in a group of guys only, and I'll post if the experience is different.
