I was on along drive...

I was on along drive to STL. Needed a break and the searchlights and neon said this might be a good place. I hadn't been in a Missouri club in awhile, but I knew they had tightened up the laws quite a bit. IMHO they have taken all the value out of the game. I entered the club about 10:30, paid a door fee and got a wristband. The bar area is well lit and had a very friendly bartender. Dance stage was relativley small. Girls dance topless, but with pasties. Goth looking brunette was on when I got there and responded favorably to a tip. There was an older guy (looked even older than me!) with a couple of younger guys (from the army base?)at the stage. He was being pretty aggressive and she seemed interested in getting away from him. After she got off the stage, I waited for her to freshen up and then we talked for a bit. The private dances are in a separate building down a back corridor. You are accompanied by a bouncer who takes your money (35 for the first dance, 30 after that.) I saw him give the dancer 20, so I assume it's her cut. Dance area is a big room with couches around the wall. We were the only ones in the room, but the bouncer was close and observant. Dance was average at best. They have to keep tops and bottoms on, and touching is very limited.

Unless the law changes or they start to ignore it, I can't imagine going back.
