first time visit to ricks. saturday night. near empire state building in the middle of korea town. joined up with some friends who were there for a bachelor party. got in without cover because the party had a reservation with bottle service (we had a bottle of sapphire and kettle one, plus mixers [including $8!! cans of redbull]). not sure what the total cost was, but no doubt it was pricey (we chipped in $100 each, but i don't know how many people contributed). i was concentrating on getting my money's worth of booze, and catching up with some friends, so i wasn't paying too much attention to the dancers this night. i'm a strip club loner, so i don't really get maximal enjoyment when at a club with other people. inside, there's a main bar straight ahead, a stage to the left, and roped off areas at either end for parties. there's various tables and seats scattered around, and a mini stage somewhere in the middle. there was a staircase to the left which seemed closed. maybe there were private rooms upstairs, or maybe an upstairs outdoor smoking area (if so, it was closed this night)? there seemed to be a decent number of dancers. in my distracted state, i didn't notice any particularly hot dancers. mostly 6-7s, all types represented (eastern euro, asian, black, latina, etc.). i got one dance only from an asian girl, which was okay, but nothing memorable. the group i was with seemed to enjoy the massage girl the most (i didn't have a chance to try). the usual loud music, low lighting, constant hustle, low contact dances, and overpriced drinks you find in a manhattan club. doubt i'll check this place out on my own in the future.
