This was actually my first time ever in a strip club. Long had I held onto the notion of a group of dirty old men groping at druggie girls in a seedy establishment. I was proven very, very wrong. I was instructed by a group of my friends to give Kahoots a shot, and so I did. At first, there is a bar area which is separate from the main stage, which is nice should one just want to stop in for a drink or two. The stage was clean and provided a good atmosphere. The food and alcohol was a bit pricy, my Manhattan was $9.50 and most of the sandwiches were of about the same price. But the clean and tidy look of everything really helped me get relaxed and be able to enjoy the night. It's also nice that the quality of the clientele was more than old creeps and horney college guys.

But what really wowed me was the girls there. They were all cute at the very least to beautiful (which is a word I never thought I'd use to describe a dancing girl). But what got me most was how friendly they all were. One sat down with me and just started telling jokes and stories, she didn't even try to hit me up for a private dance, which was a very big plus in my book since pressure is an instant buzz kill. The girl I did go with (for a number of dances) was, we'll call her Dany. She was fascinating and brilliant. It wasn't some dirty talk about how she wants to get in my pants (to my wallet) but we had real conversations which I thoroughly enjoyed and were actually my favourite part about the whole night. She was well-read (something I thought was impossible in her line of work) and very charming. She sat with me and talked for the majority of the night which really made me feel welcome as a person and not as a pocketbook. In all, it was a wonderful experience which I hope to recapture my next time there. If you just want to see some naked tramp strutting around on stage, this is not your club. If, however, you would like to feel catered to for a night, to feel like you can talk to a woman and be important for more than cash, Kahoots is the place for you.
