This club is a 10 in my book and it has survived through thick and thin. What do you get when you cross the building tastes of Tim Burton, the psychological palatte of David Lynch and the women of painter Julien Freud? A> The Clermont Lounge! Seriously, with its 1930's skyscraper design with the equally old radio tower, towering above, this place sticks out in tacky condo swamped Atlanta. In a town that is suffering from too much 1980's LA, this place makes you feel like real people still live and breathe in Atlanta. No one can come in too pretentious and survive the place. It brings you down, way down or perhaps "up" to their level? Hard to say. Everyone knows about the infamous dancer "Blondie." If she's there, she's a hoot. If you don't know about her, well, basically she claims to be a Phd' intellectual who can knock people out with her breasts & had performed this variety show trick on many tv shows such as Sally Jesse. If you ask me, she's physically scary and mentally somewhere all by herself. But hey, if you're a repressed Pentacostal or just plain ole' suburbanite kid hitting their freshman year, she could be just for you. This place is a hit or miss on the weeknights and I mean on every level. You'll either get good girls or girls that some, like myself, have simply tipped to get off of the stage. They have alot of attitude at the door & the bar, so warm them up to you and you'll be a family member in no time. They can smell a newbie for miles. The weekends here have gotten a bit strange. They now host an "80's" dance party/karoke thing. Which is always packed, but the crowd is all college and doesn't really gel for the regulars, less the filling of the cash register. But the tragedy here is that on such nights, even regulars get ignored. Personally, I usually avoid Saturday nights here period. Its too beneath The Claremont as much as its keeping them in business. The girls here vary all the time. Mostly you get strippers who are literally the drop outs or kicked outs from other clubs. They burned fast at other clubs with drugs, improprieties with customers, etc. So the Claremont is who takes them in typcially. Not a bad thing because its kind of like they've arrived. Plus, many of them know its the last gig in town and they'd better get it together. Such girls tend to be the gems here. On some nights I've had one pretty volupt dancer dressed out as a nurse, put her pussy smack dab in my face and kept it there. She also proceeded to sneakily jack me off in the corner and I left camed and shamed. Some girls will also go the extra mile here. This of course is random but I would say let them offer it. A girlfriend and I left with one doll and had a three way. Mostly this is a very bizarre, but incredibly fun club if you can get into the swing of it's vibe. The girl's are unpretentious and some will work it for you while others really aren't worth paying attention to. Which is hard since they're dancing right behind the bartender on a very small stage! Oh, before I go, one girl who dawns several wigs and costumes throughout the night, does an interesting nipples on fire trick. She's got spunk and plays the crowd. Have fun! Its at least worth one visit if you're anywhere near downtown Atlanta or Virginia Highlands.
