Although the 418 is catching up...

Although the 418 is catching up fast, my two favorite SC's in town are the King of Diamonds and Choice. If I want to relax and meet up with some familiar ladies who get topless in front of me, I go to the KoD. If I feel a little freaky, I go to Choice.

The club is on an unlit 2nd Ave. across from the SexWorld sex shop. You get the feeling that the area could be dangerous, but I have yet to get accosted for anything, coming or going (and I come and go for night shift). Ten dollars for the cover and the cashier will give you a coat check ticket for a free drink but, of course, it's only non-alcohol, although they do have stuff like O'Doul's. I tried an O'Doul's once -- man, that shit is nasty!

Single stage at the far end of the room. Each dancer goes up a ramp on one end of the stage, throws her purse to the side, sometimes dries off the two poles (one fore, one aft) and gets to work on the thrust part of the stage, which from the top looks like a dangling scrotum. There's a baker's dozen chairs around this thrust stage, and be careful if you're near the back, where it's at its most narrow; once a dancer was spinning herself on the back pole and her heel struck me right across the face. Two dances, top off first, bottom off second. Songs are cut short, but depending on the money thrown around, what could be a 4-minute set on a slow night becomes a 6-minute set on a busy one.
