Yet another, 5 minute ride out...

Yet another, 5 minute ride out of Savannah's Historic District & over the Savannah Bridge into South Carolina. This is the area's infamous "all nude" after hours place & very BYOB as such. What can you say about a place that shares it's parking lot with a CHEAP FIREWORKS stand? I mean Bang! Pow! Actually the Temptation's building looks like it got hit with some over the years and I don't doubt that one day we'll read that during a hot sweaty review, the building with patrons included sank into the adjoining marsh. Does that spell unstable? No doubt this place could spruce up a bit but I don't think they own the bldg so there you go. The place is also famously small and rarely is it open throughout the week. It might be called a weekend place moreso and seasonal for sure. The Gold Club down the HWY is better known for being faithfully open during the week. Showboat also has unknowable weeknight hours so out of the 3 on the weeknights, go Gold Club essentially. Its 3 miles or so down the same hwy on the left. Temptations in my opinion, also tends to rope in a dopey, white trash redneck kind of crowd. It really varies. Like any place it has regulars and therefore loyal, good clientel. Its also famously open until 5 or 6 am on the weekends. So this is the only club literally outside of The Gold Club on a Friday night to hit after the Savannah bars close at 2:30 or 3am. Temptations also stays open late on Saturday night whereas The Gold Club is forced to close early Sun morning due to alcohol sales. So the overall thought here is that Temptations has advantages, but it also has drawbacks. There have been many nights when I've skipped it due to the feeling of the cars in the lot. Isn't that funny that one can judge a place's clients by the cars outside? Yes it is. Some nights its a mix. Other nights it all "Too Fast Too Furious" outside. Then others its big trucks. Not boring for sure but not everybody's strip club cup of brew either.
