I was in Philadelphia two Fridays...

I was in Philadelphia two Fridays ago traveling for work. Had a day meeting and spent the night in Philly. Decided to visit a local strip club. It came down to choosing between The Penthouse Club and Delilah’s. I ended up opting for Delilah’s because of its proximity to my hotel. I was staying right by City Hall and the cab fare was more reasonable to and from Delilah’s.

So I took a cab over and got there around 10:30 PM. Cover was $15 dollars. Apparently I could’ve gotten in for free with my hotel key card but I wasn’t aware at the time. Good to know for next time. There’s a metal detector right before you enter the main area of the club. The metal on my belt set it off and I got a quick pat down before being allowed to enter.

Nice first impression. A circular bar right in front of you as you enter. There are stairs right above this bar where the girls descend from the upper level to the stage. The girls come down the stairs onto a runway-like stage that runs the length of the room all the way to the other side where there is another bar. There’s a small circular stage at this second bar. There’s a pole in the center of the rectangular runway stage. The main area of the club is one big rectangular room. There is seating all around the stage. Stage is kind of elevated, almost at eye-level if seated at the stage. Around the perimeter of the club are elevated private seating with tables for the steakhouse dining I’m assuming? Not too many people up there at the time. TVs all around playing the Phillies game. Restroom is pretty clean. It’s immediately to the left of the entrance. There are small TV screens above the urinals. There’s a restroom attendant working for tips. Friendly guy. Didn’t feel like I had to tip him every trip to the restroom. Overall it's a very spacious club. Felt clean and pretty upscale. Dimly lit all round but not too dark, with your typical neon lighting.
