Stopped by Mardis Gras for an evening visit, Last time was daytime and while it was nice it did not compare to the daytime at Follies.
finding it can be tricky for those that do not know where they are going but I know the game there. I always park at the bottom of the hill to avoid the valet. I usually tip the guy a couple bucks anyway, everybody has to make some money and I would rather he work than sit at home on the govt. dime. It is just a short walk up to the club.
Seemed like a 10 dollar cover, I handed her a $20 and got some change but I did not count it as it was all in singles. I just put it in my stage tipping pocket. Note that I did this one time at another club, I had paid cover with a $100 and ended up stage tipping with 5's instead for a while. I got better results at the stage but not what I had intended that money for. Basic bar set up but Mardis Gras is a little more like a sports bar than a traditional strip joint. Lots of TV's not just in the bar area. Drinks were reasonably priced.
