This place is officially closed down...

This place is officially closed down due to the beautiful little town of Hamburg Iowa being threatened by an impending massive flood that should last at least until August but probably longer. Don't look for this place to re-open for a while. As it stands today, June 16, the town has not flooded yet but the main hiway into town and the interstate are closed down and covered with flood waters.

The girls were telling me on my last visit that it may be a year before they are ready to re-open but when they do it will be in a different location. This reopening date may be sooner than that if the latest levee holds up to months of water pressuring it. We will see. I hope it holds because I love this place.
