I've reviewed the Boom Boom Room...

I've reviewed the Boom Boom Room before... Just thought I'd give an update. Most of the information is still the same. Very small, low ceiling club with a pool table and 6 or 7 poker machines. This is just like many other Portland "dive strip clubs". As another reviewer stated... It does probably smell like stale smoke (I smoke... so I probably smell just as bad...) They serve $1.00 PBR's and $3.00 micros in the afternoons... Liquor prices are average... and as long as you tip the Bartender... Service is good. This is definitely as far from the glitzy "Stars" atmostphere as you can get. That being said... if you like the "dive bar" scene (which I do)... This place fits right in.

The same holds true for the dancers. Usually when I visit... There are 2 to 5 girls working... (Which is an improvement over a year ago)... And they usually range from a 4 to a 7 (in my book). There is the occaisional 8 or 9... And also the occaisional 2 or 3. There is usually 1 or 2 black girls... 1 or 2 white girls... and even a very short, cute filipino mix that is occaisionally there. The girls are generally nice, talkative... But again, definitely not the "glitzy" type you'd see at Stars. I've had dances with many of the girls... And very good dances can be had here. The private dance area is in the back of the club and is quite private... Which can make the experience better. (There are quite a few guys (myself included) who will spend a fair bit of time back in the private dance area... Which I usually take to mean the dances are going pretty well.) The last time I was there... There was a young (couldn't drink) light skinned black girl who didn't have the hottest face... But her body was the thin spinner type, and she gave a good dance. Also a taller, thicker (not fat) Hawaiian girl who was very nice and very easy to talk to (I didn't partake in a dance with her cause I ran out of money)... And also an older (not old... Just older than my 37 years) white girl who was thin and small chested (but well shaped), who has also given me a pretty good dance in the past.

Overall... I like the B.B.R in the afternoons for what it is... A dive strip club that is low key, serves cheap beer... And offers the occaisional great dance without all the "glitz".
