I had driven by this place...

I had driven by this place a bunch of times, but it looked kinda scary from the outside, so I never stopped. For some reason, I was in a "what-the-hell" kind of mood last week, so I stopped in. Very pleasant surprise: despite the bleak exterior, the inside is very nice. I ordered a beer - 4 bucks. Beats the $7 - $8 they're getting on the Block these days.

Those who describe the place as a local bar that happens to have semi-naked dancers have it pegged right. The two dancers I saw were nothing to write home about. The bartender was far hotter....a hottie, in fact, and quite friendly. No laps available that I could see, and if there's a private room where things might get up close and personal, it was not apparent.

Not a bad place to stop and have a beer. I may check it out again if I'm in the area.
