The Blockist returned for his annual Motown visit, and naturally stopped for "lunch" at The Room. It seems that some of the intimacy/privacy of the VIP room has diminished with the removal of the curtain, but the same staff seems ready to serve up the same menu. Had a great chicken sandwich (the kitchen is really pretty good for bar fare) and a refresher course in VIP protocol, which provided few surprises but that old familiar feeling...

It's nice to find a such welcome to out-of-towners in what has always seemed to be a neighborhood bar with extras.
