If you know anything about Knoxville...
If you know anything about Knoxville strip clubs, then you are aware of what you are getting into in the heart of the Bible Belt. Most establishments have odd ways of obtaining alcohol and "The Ball" was no different. Upon entering, you are asked what you would like to purchase. I chose a bucket of beers with my friend, and we were led around to a room in the back to select our beverages.
We had arrived very late, as this was a somewhat spur of the moment trip. I think if you tell them you plan on drinking, then the cover is between 10-20 bucks, with a ticket given to redeem the alcohol in the establishment. They have 2 stage set ups with one in the rear of the club and one towards the front. The women were sparse on this weekday evening. I think at one point, some of the more veteran ladies were giving a rookie dancer tips on the back stage, b/c no one was back there. I was approached by a few ladies and said that I was still browsing. We watched a few dances and decided that we had chosen who we would like to purchase a dance from.
You are then led to a back room lit w/ a VIP sign and sat down on a couch. The room has couches in each corner with no real privacy afforded to each individual dance purchase. The bouncers stay on the door with there backs turned essentially reminding you that they are always within earshot. The dance I purchased was the standard 20-25 dollar session, possibly two songs. The dancer decided to try and pull herself up by my belt buckle, which proceeded to break upon which she fell on the floor. This effectively ended my dance and night at "The Ball"
