Stopped in to Alex's on a...

Stopped in to Alex's on a weekday afternoon a couple of weeks ago because I happened to be in Stoughton on business earlier in the day. I've been there in the distant past, but this was my first time back in probably 10 years (maybe more). I stopped going to clubs in MA years ago because the clubs in Providence are so much better. As far as decor goes, I don't think Alex's has changed at all - looked exactly as I remembered it, with the exception that they have apparently added a room for lapdances that I don't remember from before. Actually, last time I was there, there was no such thing as lap danceing in MA., so not only the addition of the room, but also the addition of nude lap dances constitutes quite a change. I guess the laws in MA must have been changed, but I don't know the details. I did not partake myself so I can't comment on the quality of the laps.

No cover in the afternoon. There were about 6 - 8 dancers working, ranging between 5 and 7, and about the same number of customers. Most of the dancers were friendly, and not pushy about laps, although one of them got kind of pissy after I declined her offer. The stage "dancing" was about as uninspired as I've ever seen at a strip club - apparently none of these girls is into dancing, or maybe it was just the music - Yanni would have been more stimulating than what was being played.

Overall, not a bad experience, but not worth a trip back in my opinion - go to Providence instead.
