Over the past 10 years, I...
Over the past 10 years, I have had many great times here. It used to have a great vibe and as a white guy in a black strip club, I always felt comfortable here.
But on a recent visit, of all times on a Friday or Saturday night around 10pm, this place seemed dead as a doornail. It used to have a great DJ, tons of girls and a great crowd. No more. Just those big TV screens to look at. There used to be an older lady at the bar who I always assumed was the owner. She was nearly always there. She is gone. Has this club changed ownership? It is a mere ghost of its past. There were maybe 7 dancers whereas in the past there might have been 40. None you would turn your head for. There is no VIP area here but the vibe and appeal of the many girls used to make up for this.
Actually it pains me to write this review but it seems many of the "black" clubs near New York have headed south in vibe and quality, including Al's the Wedge in the Bronx.
I will definitely give this club another try, if only for old time's sake. Where have all the "sisters" gone??
