I've been to a lot of strip clubs in my time, and so I was very interested in checking out a few strip clubs in Portland while visiting there. For a town with so many strip joints, I thought the places around town would be legendary. Unfortunately, it was anything but. From as far as I could tell, Lucky and many other establishments like it seemed to be dive bars or restaurants that happened to have a stage or two in it. Unlike other places I've been to, it seemed more like an afterthought to be a strip club. I personally don't have anything against the ambiance, but there was too few dancers and the girls never came walking around. Instead, there was maybe 4 girls, and after dancing on stage they just walked away into a corner.

Also, the place didn't seem to be set up to accommodate lots of guys having personal lap dances at once. There was a tiny little curtained room on the side where private dances could be had. I got a couple from who I thought was the cutest girl working at the time. The dances were pretty average--very little grinding and more sensual than anything else. I bought two because I had wrongly hoped that the dances would get better but alas, they didn't.

As for the positives, there's no cover, and the place is very low-key. You can just drink your buddies and not have anyone hassle you. However, if you're looking to see a bevy of beauties who are willing to sit and talk to you and give great mileage this isn't the place.
