Hott 22 continues to be a difficult place to get a handle on, though in most ways it is not as good as it was about 8-10 years ago. On this visit, the ladies were basically cute and friendly, and they don't act eternally offended if you turn down a private dance. But the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired, though many will excuse anything for the ability to BYO (beer only). Music is unbearably loud (a dancer even asked them to turn it down!), and they charge $1 for a plastic cup if you happen to need one for your beer. Just stupid. Further, one dancer sat at the stage texting constantly - is there no management on site? I keep waiting for this place to fold, and I can't say it would be a great loss if it did. But meanwhile, we can enjoy this hit or miss place as one of the rare BYO nude clubs remaining in NJ.
