I used to go to this...
I used to go to this club before new ownership and it has definitely changed..for the better. I can't wait to see how it looks once it's finished. The manager said there will be 2 separate "clubs". The area is relatively safe in the daytime as there is a major shipyard and naval station nearby. At night, it's fairly safe as there is parking near the street and it's well lit, but highly recommend going straight to your car as the area in general is not the best.
The club is laid out fairly well but will change in the future. When you walk in, there is a tiny bar on the right and a $5 cover. The staff were always very friendly. There is no alcohol at this location and drinks were faily expensive (1 drink minimum, I think) so be prepared to spend at least $10 for walking into the door. They have a pool table, ATM machine (don't worry, if you don't like using a club's ATM, there is a 7-11 next door), and 1 small stage. Right now, this place is primarily a lapdancing place with occasional dancing if you are tipping. There is a section along 1 wall that houses several booths. Each booth has a booth, small table, and curtain. There is also another section in the back with a similar layout but is used for the VIP dances (will explain more later on that). Overall, it's fairly clean and well layed out. Not a lot of people were there the 3 times I"ve been but always have enjoyed it.
As for the dancers and dances...they all seemed nice and didn't pressure you all the time for dances. The girls on stop all 3 times were relatively attractive, especially compared to 2 other clubs that are down the street. Like I said before, this is primarily a lapdancing club but they have a small stage as well. If you ask, the girl will dance for tips and will go topless. To my knowledge, and especially in Hampton Roads, this is the only place you will see topless dancing as all others require bikinis or pasties (allowed since no alcohol served). Lap dances were definitely more expensive than the 2 clubs down the street. It was $20 for the first song, $15 for each dance thereafter rather than the usual $10 but you don't have to pay for the juke box, which usually adds $2 to $5 per dance session. Also, the songs the DJ played seemed longer here than the other clubs. And like the other clubs, touching on the butt is allowed but nowhere else. If you pay $30 per song, you can go to the VIP section and touch the chest. Again, this is more expensive than other clubs in the area but you can't do this at other area clubs. The dances were actually better in my opinion as well than the other clubs as you have your own private booth and not someone sitting next to you or behind you, etc.
