The Platinum Club is a brand...

The Platinum Club is a brand new club that opened around January 2011. It is really nice, fresh, and clean. The club features 2 HD flat-screen tv's over the bar. One has ESPN on it and the other one has the girls on stage. There are two more tv's on each side of the stage. There are about 15 tables setup with about 2-4 chairs at each, and about 20 office chairs around the stage. There is a large square stage in the middle, with very plush leather office chairs that allow the patrons to sit back and relax. I went in and the club was empty- which I figured it would be given that it is SO new. They charged a $5.00 cover, and have $2 beer specials from 5pm-9pm everyday. I was drinking Jack and Coke at $4 a glass, and I had just missed the happy hour. This is one of the best drink deals in Mobile!

The girls were okay. None of them were that good on the pole, and most only had a floor routine. I would honestly have to say that there were some fat ones, some old ones, and some old fat ones. Out of the 7 girls that were stripping, 4 were young, good-looking, and ones that you would want to sit down with you and have a drink. The drinks cost $20.00 for the strippers, which is pretty good considering the $25.00 drinks at Diamonds. The Platinum Club waitresses did not hound me about buying drinks for anyone, and would usually keep my Jack and Coke flowing. The stripper who gave me a lap dance charged $30.00 per dance and it only lasted one song. It was definately not worth it for a lap dance, but if you buy them some drinks and sit at the stage, they are content.

Even though some of the girls were not for me, I do not remember any of them being aggressive, snobby, or too into something else. Everyone that was dancing would come up to me and say hi, ask me if I needed anything, and were generally happy that I decided to come in for a bit. I was not the only one in their for long as some people trickled in at about 10:00pm. I would recommend this club for the only fact that the girls there are really nice. It does not matter if you are talking with the waitress, the bartender, the bouncer or a stripper; every person is cordial and wants to get to know you better. If you are close by, you have got to go in and see this place. It is a nice break from the other strip clubs around Mobile. The Theadore area has two awesome strip clubs. Cookies 'n Creme, and The Platinum Club. You have got to check these out!!!
