When I'm in Phoenix I usually prefer the Hi Liter or Chirstie's but Friday afternoon I went to the Bourbon Street Circus for a change. The neighborhood is okay, for sure safe in the afternoon. It might get a little sketchy after dark, but probably not. The parking lot is big and set back off the street, so I wouldn't worry about parking there. There was no cover in the afternoon, which was nice. There are a LOT of hot girls at BSC--very young and very siliconed, for what it's worth--but pleasant to talk to. The dances were pretty good, although you'll probably find more contact at Hi Liter or Christie's. I had a pleasant time with a nice young lady who spilled my drink accidentally, and she immediately went and got me a refill. I may go to BSC again.
