I had passed Emperors on my way to Tampa and thought I would check it out on my way out of town. I arrived about 8:30 pm on a Friday night. As previous reviewers have mentioned there are two separate clubs. I entered the one with the entrance closest to the street which was the topless one. I was later told by one of the dancers, that each of the two clubs had a separate cover charge.

There were few other patrons, and just four dancers working when I arrived. I was disappointed by the dancers’ looks. Two were seriously underweight and two were overweight. I sat at one of the tables near the stage as all four cycled through there sets. Finally one of the overweight ones struck up a reasonably intelligent conversation with me, so when a two for $30 lap dance special came up while we were talking; I decided to go with the special. She took me to a large room in the back. We were the only ones in the room. The lap dance was unimaginative. She basically just sat on my lap and did a grind through two songs. After the dances, I politely said my good-bye and left the club.

Although it was not the worst strip club experience I have had, there are many other strip clubs in the Tampa area that I will try before I go back to Emperors.
