Have been to Sugars several times. The key here is to be patient. A lot of the girls hang out in the back, but eventually come out. The crowd is generally typical 21 - 40 year old San Antonio...but I always felt safe at all times. I decided to park the car myself (to keep the keys) but paid the valet $10 to keep an eye on it. Private dances are in more remote areas of the club, and a VIP area is available at vaired prices, depending on how popular it is. Have the dancer pay the super $10 to get you in on quiet nights. If your girl has to go on stage, give her a $20 and she will pay off the DJ to get her out of rotation. Genreally a good place.
