I stopped in on a Wednesday...

I stopped in on a Wednesday night last week. Wednesdays used to be the contest nights. It looks like they have mostly stopped contests. The signs on the tables listed a couple for the month previous. All of the signage was about what was going on at the Dreamgirls club in SoDo. It sort of feels like the chain is letting this club go or at least putting it on a back burner.

That being said, it is still a good club. It is clean, safe, and easy to get to with free parking. There were 15 or 20 girls on shift even though there were only 10 or 15 patrons. I did not see many dances being purchased, but many of them take place in the VIP area out of sight. It looked like the little curtained off champagne areas were gone from the back corners of the room. Most of the girls would give a quick up close show or grind for a $1 tip at the tip rail. The rail is a thing of the past. It is a velvet rope that the girls will all remove to get closer to you for your tip.

The club is starting to take on the feel of a smaller neighborhood place rather than a large chain. In my mind that is not all that bad a thing.
